Last weekend ended with Rock Village, a festival of love, cheer, fun and good music.
This year's Rock Village festival held for the seventh time in Banatski Sokolac, the birthplace of the first European monuments of Bob Marley and it was the most visited. Thousands of people gathered in the schoolyard, on the open stage to greet Bajaga, Yu Grupa, Sunshine and many other bands.
On Friday, the first night of the festival, the guys from the band Bite from Vrsac opened festival. Unexpectedly good music with exceptional singer and a great amount of energy gave us these guys. Performance of veterans Grešnici showed that they have the strength and enthusiasm and that they have to say a lot.
Multietni?ka atrakcija and Mirko Lukovic, although urban bands that might better relate to a club gig still have enriched music program of Rock Village-a. Sharks, Snakes & Planes, although they were first performed at a larger festival, proved to have great knowledge, energy and a great future. Complete author band with 3 guitars and great singer has left a great impression.
The real party started with a performance by the band Hypnotized Belgrade. With his author songs, attractive singer were born and processing of the famous song "I touched the bottom of life" by Toma Zdravkovic and proved that he is able to try in that direction. Fair enough the crowd warmed up before the show Bajaga.
There was a great performance of Bajaga. Bajaga sang together and the audience, so it will remain an unforgettable evening for all visitors.
The icing on the cake was the performance of the female band High Heels, which showed that there is hope for the music scene in Serbia. Their performance was marked by great gig with a guest appearance of legenary Ras Abraham.
Good vibrations are transferred from Friday and on Saturday, when brought together a greater mass of people, and when the school yard became too tight for all lovers of good sound. Bikers in the late afternoon announced a hot night. Young band from Vrsac - Kibic Fenster showed that Vrsac school of rock is not dead. Their gig has left an impression that they will go far if they continue like this.
After that performed a local band from Banatski Karlovac, Južnobanatski Blues band and BonTon from Plandište, with excellent vocals of Marina Surla.
The real party sta with Jamajkanima from Stara Pazova. Experienced musicians on stage joined wih Ras Abraham. He started a ten-minute jamming reggae and rapping. We did not know that in Banat has so many fans of Irish music, so the appearance of the band Irish Stew was a real hit. A very promising band. Rock Village hosts by the tradition Bosnian bands, so this time instead of Irina Emir & Frozen Camels came . The energy that only Bosnians have caused the eruption of emotions. The band consists of experienced musicians who know their job. They were able to warm up the audience for star of the evening - YU Grupa. Every word of praise for the performances of legenradary Jelic brothers would be superfluous. Live performance of a band that celebrates the 40th. Everyone knew the words, sang along, cheered and enjoyed. The whole atmosphere performed by YU Grupa was reminder of the world's best scenes - a lot of positive energy, perfect sound, the audience love the band ...
After YU Grupa Bane and Sunshine was not only able to maintain hot atmosphere, but also further make it hottest. It turned out that the New Belgrade rap scene was well received in this rural area. Singing and dancing until the late hours, we did not know who has more energy, whether public or Sunshine. We think that there was no better band to close the festival.
